Maguire-beslissing van Ten Hag maakt veel los: 'Ik kan het niet meer aanzien'

Maguire is waarschijnlijk de minst populaire speler op Old Trafford, maar speelt altijd en ook Ten Hag ziet wat in de Engelse verdediger. "Hij is een goede captain en heeft veel succes geboekt, dus ik twijfel er niet over", liet de Nederlandse manager optekenen vanuit Bangkok.

De beslissing om na het desastreuze seizoen 2021/2022 niet van aanvoerder te wisselen, maakt nogal wat los. Een greep uit de reacties:

Maguire, like everyone, was atrocious last season. 22-23 is his last chance saloon. But I think ETH is right to keep him captain. Seems unnecessary to come in and immediately strip someone of the captaincy. But if he doesn't improve markedly, he needs selling
